Mohanthal is a traditional Gujarati sweet, known for its soft and crumbly texture. At KHOYA we have made it with besan, organic sugar, desi ghee, khoya with a hint of Kesar, and elaichi powder garnished with pistachio.
Mohanthal is said to have originated in the royal kitchens of the Rajputs, who ruled over a portion of what is now Gujarat and Rajasthan. The dish was given his name since it was reportedly a favorite of the Rajput king Mohan Singh.
